The difference between +$7,900 and -$3,300 is $11,200. Total hours is EV/Hourly_EV = 155 hours. Your per hour SD is $724.40, so your SD over 155 hours is (I hope I'm doing this right) $9,018*. So,...
%W/L 1.475% is the %win/loss (EV or IBA) written on the bottom line of my version of CVCX.
Average bet is $34.54, win per hour is $50.96 ($0.51 per round), s.d. per round is $72.44 ($724.40 per...
I have suggested an algorithm which would use data from a sim to try and enumerate statistical probabilities of each rank for a game of 1 player versus dealer on round 2 using basic strategy...
Sorry about that. I was, in fact, thinking about adding my two cents, mostly about fixed annuities, but, yes, the thread seemed to disappear. I'll do my best to comment after the weekend. Have a...
I use a seen card in the example, just try to simplify, because I think a seen ten cut, and a first round played, both have the same result, that is, the running count will drop to negative on...
Thanks for that info Norm! I wasn’t sure if it there was a coincidence of the reoccurring 0, 2, 4 pattern. I can see what you mean in terms of making it a bit easier to use with less varying integers.
Hey Norm,
Yea it shows you the amazing technology that we have today as compared to back then. It’s amazing now how specific we can be in trying to generate indices for certain games without...
I may be wrong but I think Thorp's paper is saying that unseen cards cannot alter probabilities because no information is known about them. If you tell me you have seen a card and it is a ten then...
This shows the power of today’s modern computers.
Here is the differences between Snyder’s old published work for the Red 7 DD illustrious 18 vs. what CVData gives for a DD H17, DAS game.
RED...
I have fixed it. I did a full uninstall. Deleted the QFIT folders in Program Files and Program Data. Reinstall, this time installing CVCX first as it created a lock trying to access an in use file,...
Yes, that is correct. If you check Full Indices, the 77vT surrender will disappear and the indices will be correct as per your rule settings. That's all you need to do.
You need to select Full Indices. Also, I notice you have no hole card selected. if you want early surrender vs 10 indices, you will need to add them. 77vT is surrender with no hole card and ES10.
I get the same 77 vs 10 surrender whether I select the I18 & F4 indexes or not. I have attached a screenshot showing all the relevant settings including the 6 decks selected in the game.
Don,
Several weeks ago, there was a short thread about annuities and you were going to chime in when time permitted. I looked for that thread and couldn't find it, and asked Norm, and he couldn't...
Yes
Multi-deck means you want to have tables for both pitch and shoe games. DAS means you want both nDAS and DAS tables. H17, means you want both H17 and S17 tables. If you are generating one...
When selecting a strategy, if you have Illustrious 18 or any other limits to indices that are used, it merges basic strategy into the tables for any indices not selected.
