    effects of removal

    Hello all,

I am trying to learn how to calculate effects of removal. I have seen references to using combinatorial analysis but am not sure how this would work. The first step of determining the dealt hand combinations seems simple enough.

For example, in a SD blackjack game there are 24 ways of being dealt 88 vs a 2. The likelihood of this happening is 24/(1326*50). However I am lost on how to determine the EV from this point. There are so many ways a hand like this can play out, it would be incredibly tedious to list all possible scenarios for all possible hands. Is there a simpler approach? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, you want to use a combinatorial analysis program.

This is exactly what a combinatorial analysis program does.
