Still around after all these years? But now teaching traditional card counting, too?

Ok, I was trolling the board and the internet for a class on blackjack (besides blackjackapprenticeship) which might fit my budget and time schedule. And also while waiting for Moo to have his bj conference somewhere in midwest somewhere around December LOL

And yes, I know I'm practicing and playing and learning (with pretty good results this year) from this board and the suggestions. (And valid authors) But I came across this. Saw one link on a seminar by an old, maligned and discredited E. Clifton Davis. Yes, I know his NWB etc, card clumping, etc. has been discredited. But now he has the attitude that blackjack conditions have changed and good time to play, etc. They are advertising a seminar with "traditional" card counting methods.

Well, what do you guys think? Worth a shot? Just keep up what I'm doing now? I know that Don used to work with Patterson (if I'm not mistaken) in the old GOOD days prior to Target, etc., and at one time he was reputable. Was Davis ever?

I see this thread where Norm basically shot down their theories to a Metronome question:

And I know this is what Snyder had to say on NWB, etc.: http://www.blackjackforumonline.com/content/nbj.htm

But is it possible that they have come back down to earth and are teaching legitimate methods and training?

Or probably just a case of "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me?"

After reading the thread titled Blackjack Conditions Are The Best Ever - Right Now!

complete utter bull-cricky! With apologies to "randomness".
2.) I played full time for 3 years W/O a single losing day. How many can say that? NO ONE! - not even close.
Yeah, a guy selling a "seminar"...
All card counting gurus agree that card counting gives their players a 1/2% advantage. That's tip money! I will show you how to use card counting to attain a 6% advantage. That is 12 times the advantage that the very best card counters attain.
Yep, sign me up for a 6% edge....

So, on the days he was cash negative, he just "won experience". It wasn't a loss, he just won something far more valuable than money.
May the cards fall in your favor.

Metro, you are SO right: I thought since I read that he was including counting in his seminar, he might have some possible merit in his teachings. But then recently he posted here:

And I read about never splitting 8's or A's; clumping; doubling 8 against a 7 when "tens are running"; double after a loss, etc., and I started "losing my cookies". And all they seem to talk about is negative progressions.
