If cutoffs are same amount on 8D as 6D it is essentially the same game. I have done fairly well on 8D with decent pen and LS. Crowding can be the problem at DP. They do have more tables that they open upstairs.

8 deck with 1 and a 1.5 deck is a game you can make a good profit on but the problem is you won't always find 8D games with that penetration. I would not play an 8D games with good rules that cut off 2 decks because it is very hard to get a SCORE of 50 or above. The only exception is if you are using a very sophisticated count system with full indices then 2 deck cut off in an 8D game using the Wongin/Wongout method you could get a SCORE of 50 or higher.

You don't need a score of >50 to make the game playable. Does it help...of course but according to CVCX an 8 deck game with 4.5 decks cut will give you a score of 39.46 using Hi Lo with sweet 16 and Fab 4 indices. The EV is $49.36 an hour with a ROR of 20.2% with a BR of 10K (playing $10 a hand spreading 1-6)

Yeah, I get a get a score of .53, 65% ROR on $10K BR, and that is with 2.8 decks cut off. The EV is $2.42 per/hr.

You could make more money looking for change on the ground.

Three you are right I was looking at 6 decks instead of 8 but with 8 decks S17, DAS LS Im getting a score of 21.39 with an EV of 23.22 an hour. ROR is 15.8% with a min bet of $10 spreading 1-6 with a 10K bank.

What are you setting the penetration at?

Is this with back counting or aggressive wong out?

I with 3.5 decks cut off, it isn't even close.

DM why would you have 3.5 decks cut off?? That's only 60% pen. I have 1.5 decks cut off out of 8. Also this is for play 2 hands not 1. Play all no wonging

8 deck with 1.5 cut off is a profitable game.

Your sims don't seem correct if you are using Hi-lo Sweet 16 and fab 4. If you are doing play all I got a SCORE of 15.10 with penetration of 1.5 cut off and 1-6 bet spread heads up using rules of S17, DAS, LS.

You can check my simulation if you desire.
