CVCX results change with Bankroll/Risk settings.

    Hey Norm!

I just now noticed that by changing the bankroll in the Bankroll/Risk box, the results change completely! And I can't understand the pattern.

For instance, by using a $200k bankroll, my Win/Hour is $313. If I change the bankroll to $100k my Win/Hour is $365. Now if I change it to $200 bucks the Win/Hour is $473!

And this is using a manually adjusted min bet, so it is not changing the min bet based on Kelly.

I know I am missing something as always, but if you could please clarify it, I would appreciate.

    I am going nuts here!

    Thanks in advance.

I just opened the same sim where I noticed this effect and now the bankroll doesn't affect the results anymore (like I thought it shouldn't).

    I am lost here...

You would have to show me the screen images. If you set options to force non-optimal results, it will do the best it can within the constraints you have provided. But, RoR will shift dramatically if you force min bets. In any case, results should always be repeatable.

Can I send the .zip configuration files to [email protected]?

If it isn't doing anything, the files won't help me.

It has happened before, but now I could isolate on specific sim where the results keep changing when bankroll amount changes. Other sims that I create now don't present this problem. It is really weird.

BTW, with respect to forcing non-optimal results, some strategies automatically set one or a few of these options and I never understood why. So if I don't want to test non-optimal results, I should always unset these options, right?

Strategies shouldn't change the options. Yes, turn off any forcing options for optimal results.
