Oh it seems very true as it's a two way street from the houses perspective (mathematical edge in games), and the players perspective (techniques to take down the house). So the essence of an advantage is an illusion.

Prov. People who are able to do something well can do that thing for a living, while people who are not able to do anything that well make a living by teaching. (From George Bernard Shaw's Man and Superman.)
There is a similar one in the computer field:
Those that can do. Those that can't teach.

It was so obvious that the professors where not that good in practice when you gat a teacher come in to teach a class at night that primarily worked in the field. The night teacher was so much more well versed in actual practice than the professors which is why some classes were only taught at night by teachers that primarily worked in the field.

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
